diana sudyka + andrew bird
Not only is Andrew Bird’s Useless Creatures a wonderful CD, but the illustration for Noble Beast/Useless Creatures is fantastic. Diana Sudyka was the illustrator and Chad Kloepfer was the designer on the project. If you haven’t had a chance to see Andrew Bird in concert, I definitely recommend that as well. I saw him last year and it was so moving – not to mention very impressive. I had no idea until the show that he does most of his music himself, for example playing on the guitar, recording it with pedals, then playing over that with a violin, whistling and singing on top of that combination, to create something really rich (and did I say moving?)
That’s Andrew Bird of course, and below is more of Diana Sudyka’s illustration:
Be sure to check out Diana’s etsy shop, too!
