diy hair accessories
I mentioned that I’ve been thinking about hair accessories for my wedding reception, and although I love the fabric flowers that are so popular these days (à la twigs & honey and muscari), I think I’m looking for something a little different. I can’t quite put my finger on what I’m looking for, is the problem.
But anyway, in brainstorming I found a bunch of inexpensive vintage brooches, flowers, etc. on etsy that got me thinking; any of these could be wired to a barrette or comb, or attached to a headband. Here’s a tutorial for making fascinators (you know, the hair flowers), which I found via style me pretty.

five silver flowers for $5 :: nine silk flowers for $16 :: vintage white flower for $6 :: six vintage pink flowers for $8 :: gold rhinestone brooch $6 :: turquoise flower brooch $7 :: two white and blue vintage flowers $3 :: ten white velvet leaves $3

February 17, 2009 at 8:50 pmTheir all gorgeous. I’ve gotten kind of obsessed with hair pins lately. I started growing my hair out years ago precisely so I could wear hair accessories. The silver flowers are my favorite.
