I have so much admiration for people who can keep journals – especially visual collage journals like Jeff Garcia’s. I tend to cut up millions of scraps and rarely do anything with them.

But, keeping a visual journal is a someday-goal of mine. I especially love this collaboration with Randy Gagne (images 1-4), where they collaged on top of The Golden Book Encyclopedia series.

And this 2006 book with tags (below), which reminds me of these tag-like collages.

    THESE are so beautiful.
    oh my eyes are happy and bouncing. so many nice things collected into one book!!!! this really did make my day

    i love visual journals too! my friend lisa, who’s a student at SVA, posts pages from her own visual journal at http://liesalsays.blogspot.com and it’s just lovely
