I’m in Wilmington now, running wedding errands, tying up loose ends, and… yeah, more projects! Today, a jar full of pens with a label (sign our guestbook!) and a DIY hair piece for the reception (maybe). It was completely inspired by this vintage piece, whose shape was perfect, but I didn’t want green and I just had to use my guinea feathers.

Having vegetables in my own backyard is a first for me – and one thing that amazes me about our asparagus (besides how delicious it is) is how fast it grows!
There is nothing like home-grown vegetables and I won’t be getting sick of our asparagus any time soon.

Each year, I look forward to the publication of Windhover, NC State University’s annual literary and arts publication. (see past publications here). It’s a collection of poetry, essays, art, design, and music, and it beautifully showcases the talent over at NCSU.

It’s hard to believe that I’ll be married in a few days, but it’s even harder to believe that I’ll be snorkeling on a tropical island next week. (Tough life!) My fiance planned our honeymoon, so I haven’t done a thing – and now I’m scrambling to make sure I have enough warm-weather duds and bathing suits for our ten day trip.
