our wedding invitations
I’m so excited to finally be able to share our goccoed wedding invitations! You might remember the last-minute problems we had with the design & printing, but they turned out pretty well in the end. If you’re interested in gocco tips, or instructions on hand-tearing paper, check out this post.
I wanted our invitations to feel like a package, so we wrapped them in sheets of vellum and hot-glued labels with our wedding date to keep it closed.
Goccoing the outside of the envelopes was a very last minute idea, because I enjoyed using the gocco so much by the end!
Our RSVP cards were postcards. The front of the postcard is pictured above, and the back below:
The invitations were two-sided, with a yellow flower printed on the back.
We also included a reception card, so in total each invitation had three printed pieces.
My husband helped enormously with the whole process, and you can visit his website here. You can also see more photos of our invitations on Mint’s flickr!

May 13, 2009 at 1:25 pmYour invites are gorgeous! I’ve been perusing the web at Gocco invites and am so confused by the entire process. The final products always come out so fantastic though!
Just curious – how much was the total cost for all your invites?

May 16, 2009 at 9:57 pmHi Kari, I bought a used PG-11 from etsy, and my only complaint is how expensive the supplies are!
Alison
May 18, 2009 at 12:28 amWonderful! I love these. I gocco’d invites today! How many screens did they use? geesh! And yes, supplies are so expensive, but only recently because RISO announced they will no longer be making the supplies. So although I love my Gocco TO DEATH, if you don’t already own one I might invest my money elsewhere. (Tabletop letterpress!?!) The supply prices, like polaroid film prices keep going UP and UP!
