DIY pet pouch

July 22nd, 2009 · 9 Comments

One of my friends just started this great blog Phetched…which (you guessed it) is all about cool dog stuff. Now, I have a dog whom I love, but I wouldn’t say I’m a big dog person, really. Nevertheless I’ve been enjoying Phetched and all the cool dog stuff she finds that my poor, deprived dog will never own. Sorry, pup!

However, I do have a dog-problem lately. My husband takes our dog for runs, and he hates taking the house key with him while he’s running. I hate having the door unlocked, and hideaway keys freak me out. Phetched found a great solution via the b-line for this cute DIY collar pouch.

I know what I’m doing this weekend!

  1. That is such a neat idea, and so cute too. I might have to try this one!

    Weimaraners are so beautiful.

  2. THIS is awesome!! Im not a huge dog person either but I have a little dog that i so love and could really use somethin like this! Great idea!

  3. I’ve seen tiny wristbands (for running adults, not dogs) just like this one. Last year I borrowed one off an American friend – it was just about the right size for a key and not at all obtrusive….

  4. Oh my goodness, what an adorable idea! I don’t have a dog right now (boo!) but I know a few people whom I could give these as gifts to. Thanks for sharing!

  5. It looks cute but I am not sure that my dogs would actually go for having keys jingling by their ears. We use this little key pouch by Nike that you clip on your shoes- you won’t even know it is there and it would be annoying to your dog. It is on the nike website and is called a shoe wallet and it is big enough for just a couple keys.

  6. How fun to see my little Lola on your site! I hope that little pouch solves your pet-problem. :)
