links for your weekend

I hope you all have exciting Halloween plans! It’s one of my favorite holidays. Unfortunately this October has been too hectic for me to do my usual all-out pumpkin carving & porch decorating, but I will be rocking it mummy-style and the orange and white string lights will be making an appearance. In case you won’t be frantically decorating on Saturday, then frantically cleaning it all up on Sunday, here are some favorite links from the week to keep you entertained:
+ I haven’t featured them much (at all?) on Mint, but they are absolutely my interior design superstars. I figure you guys probably see them everywhere… and I’m talking about the Wary Meyers team. So you can imagine how thrilled I was to learn (via sfgirlbybay) that there is a new book out called Wary Meyers’ Tossed & Found: Unconventional Design from Cast-offs, which is a DIY kind of book on some of the design duo’s favorite projects. I will be ordering my copy today.
+ Pia found the most amazing collection of vintage etsy shops. As usual, I’m intrigued by the good product shots and want to revisit Kim’s tutorial!
+ For all you local peeps… Durham’s art museum, the Nasher, has teamed up with local ad agency McKinney to offer an exhibition called “Big Shots: Andy Warhol Polaroids.” The show opens November 12 and will feature 250 Polaroids and 75 black-and-white prints taken by Warhol from 1970 to 1987. Pumped.
+ Did you see this amazing, USA bookshelf by Ron Arad? (via @designmilk). At first I thought it was built in to the wall so you could see through to the other room. That would have been awesome.
+ Margot and I wrote our 2nd Howdy Do It posts last Monday. Hers was about work places (the importance of switching it up) and mine was on the messy side effects of self-employment with a few tips on how to form habits (exercise, anyone?).
+ My You Can Afford it Fridays post is live over at OK Great, with 9 great pieces of vintage art under $50.
Have a great Halloween!
