links for your weekend

The past few weeks I’ve had so much I wanted to share, but none of it seemed to merit a full post and much of it ends up as a tweet (and I know not everyone is a fan of twitter). So, I thought a good way to share these things with you is a Friday round-up kind of post, which many other, smarter bloggers do already! Here are some things I think you should check out, if you haven’t already:

+ I have a new series over at OK Great called You Can Afford it Fridays. I’ll be there each Friday sharing 5 favorite under $50 things for you/your home.

+ Margot and I started a Monday series called Howdy Do It. Check Pitch Design Union for my posts on getting organized while you’re self employed, and Margot’s posts here on Mint on the same topic.

+ How cool is this DIY on Design Sponge? Use puffy paint & spray paint to fake those trendy, high-end ceramics you wish you could afford.

+ Brendan tweeted about this tumble blog Wyld Stallyons, which is full of hilarious stuff. I mean hilarious.

+ I’m crazy about this installation by Xavier Veilhan at Versailles, found on The Selby.

+ Whitney found a tutorial for DIY skinny jeans & shared her own results on Darling Dexter.

+ Gorgeous letterpress invitations by Alee & Press on 100 Layer Cake.

+ I think these geometric necklaces via Oh So Beautiful Paper are the coolest.

+ Kate Miss has a great Ikea hack on Apartment Therapy.

+ Don’t forget to enter the Two Brunettes calendar giveaway by Monday at midnight!

Happy weekend!

Ha! That’s so true about all those miscellaneous little tweets about cute finds. I think its a great idea to share some here today. Even if you are on twitter it can be so hard to keep up with all the many tweets of everyone you follow.

Thanks for sharing Ellie and have a great weekend!

p.s.- did I ever mention that Ellie is my most favorite name? It also belongs to Grandmother, who happens to be one of my favorite people :)
