I don’t know about you, but September seemed like a very long month. I’m excited for cooler temps (hopefully not too cool), Halloween, and this! A little pumpkin! Growing in our very own backyard, like magic! Mums have also sprouted up. I’ve never lived in a place like this… obviously, our yard must have been beautiful at one time. Now it’s a mess, but each change in weather brings new surprises growing from the weeds.

But less about Octoberish things, more about the favorite three…

My first favorite was an easy pick! For Print Only is the most amazing blog and resource. They somehow find gorgeous print work that hasn’t been posted all over the place, like these wedding invitations, and they share information about the fonts used, production costs, and paper stock. Basically, they remind me (and I’m sure many other designers) why we wanted to be in this business in the first place.

Look, I can’t help it. I’m a proud wife (by the way, it still feels a little weird to call myself a wife). Brendan has been dreaming up his own little shop (called Bigwig & Silver – launching soon!), and has started a tumblr blog too. He finds the coolest stuff! He’s been designing some postcards and hopes to have a collection together in the next couple of months. We’ve been talking about some collaborative work, which is really fun to think about!

I’ve been reading My Love for You is a Stampede of Horses for ages. I love it. I love the header that’s up right now, I love the q&a’s, and the artist studio tours. Meighan finds stuff that is a little different from most of the other blogs I read, so I always look forward to checking out her finds.
