Elizabeth Karas earned a degree in Graphic Design before heading to the British Isles to study photography in England and coastal Ireland. Later, she moved to NYC and found work as an Art Director. But once she began experimenting with making jewelry in her spare time, she realized she had found her passion. In 2007, Elizabeth left her full time job to study with the world-renowned jeweler, Kristin Hanson, and soon after she launched 24Karas. She now divides her time between freelance Art Direction, jewelry design, and giving individual classes to apprentice designers.
