snowed in
Brendan was snowed in last weekend. I was out of town and got snowed out! To people not in the south, 6-7 inches doesn’t sound like much, but for an area where the snow rarely sticks at all, it’s a big deal. NC doesn’t have many snow plows, so the residential roads were are awful. It sure looks pretty, though! And happily, there’s still a bunch on the ground.

February 2, 2010 at 9:37 amOh, I miss your dog. I’m sure she had as much fun in the snow as Daisy was/is having. Looks the same down here in Salisbury. Worked from home yesterday. Thanks for covering the altsummit, it was fun to read about! And Brendan’s review was enlightening too. Say hi to Brendan and the pup for us!

February 2, 2010 at 9:46 amsounds like the Uk over christmas. In fact, there was a news story about a Scottish woman who left a remote town to buy a turkey from a neighbouring town, and didn’t manage to get home until a couple of weeks later!

February 2, 2010 at 10:21 amI’ve been following your blog for a while and just figured out you are in NC too! I’m in Winston Salem; I’m originally from Utah and LOVE how snow shuts down the city! :) It makes me so happy.

February 2, 2010 at 1:12 pmI think 6-7 inches anywhere where there are no plows is pain. Even in NYC with the constant foot traffic, if 6 inches of snow actually sticks it just becomes a disgusting mess. glad you were able to capture the better parts of it :)
