Thanks for sharing; I saw this post a couple of weeks ago, so when the idea of online project management came up in a discussion this evening I immediately thought about this post as reference. Going to explore some of these options with hopes for increased productivity, not to mention organization.

Thanks for this great post! Just wanted to add a small correction: Harvest does indeed have a completely FREE plan. Simply click on the upgrade link in your trial account and then select the free plan on the page. It’s free to track up to two projects for 1 user. Let us know if you do have any further questions!

Great post! If you’re using a Mac, there’s also another invoicing software recommended by Apple’s staff called Grand Total (http://www.grandtotal.biz/GrandTotal/?lang=en). It’s not an online system though, but I somehow like to keep copies on my machine (not just online). I’ve downloaded the free trial version and it looks very good so far. I’m using Billings at the moment (again their software version) but would like to try something else, so I’ll definitely check out the options you’ve suggested:-)

Thanks so much for posting this… and please let us know what you think of Freshbooks once you’ve settled in :)
My only experience with the above software is with FuntionFox when I was working for a design firm. I didn’t find it overly user friendly… and it certainly wasn’t sexy. Glad you vetoed it!
