this week’s recipe: very green juice
When it gets really hot in the summer, I switch to a smoothie breakfast. It’s usually a mixture of frozen berries (cause they’re so cold!), a banana, orange juice, ice, and a dollop of yogurt. But this summer, I’ll be drinking Very Green Juice from Green Kitchen Stories. What could be better than kiwis, apples, cucumbers, mint, and ginger, all mixed together?

March 23, 2010 at 11:01 amDumb question: can you make smoothies ahead of time and refrigerate them? I don’t have time in the morning to make something like that, but could in the evening for myself to enjoy in the morning….

March 23, 2010 at 11:32 amHi Jennifer—I’ve tried that before, and it works OK. It’s more like a thick juice, and then I load it up with ice cubes!

March 23, 2010 at 12:21 pmoh my gosh that looks good. {{blog is AMAZING}}
I will admit here that I’ve been smoothifying frozen veggies with a lot of water in the morning and drinking it with a pinched nose…and a pinched face. And eyes closed.
It feels awesome, though.
