ernst wilhelm nay

April 5th, 2010 · 2 Comments

This weekend we went to a beautiful wedding in Washington, D.C. and found a few spare minutes to fly through some rooms at the National Gallery. The bookstore alone could hold my attention for hours! Maybe I’ll spend a few days working from D.C. in the not-so-distant future so that I can spend more time there. A perk of setting your own work schedule, right?

I love Ernst Wilhelm Nay’s work from the 1960s, which looks very influenced by Henri Matisse’s paper cuts.

  1. Right!

P.S. Aren’t museum gift stores the greatest invention ever? My fave? The V&A in UK. Incredible.

    Cheers.

  2. Beautiful! I adore museum shops too. The Neue Galerie in NY is a fave.
