Yesterday was scary busy. I haven’t quite gotten used to the stress you have when you’re a freelancer, and there’s not a whole group of you to take the blame when things get backed up. There are just certain weekends where I shouldn’t let myself take the whole two days off (totally and completely off), and apparently last weekend was one of them. (Although, I did enjoy spending time with my family!) It was a little weird yesterday to realize that I measure how busy/stressed I am by whether I get a Mint post up. No post means I’m totally and completely overwhelmed, because with any other level of busy, I still manage to post. Somehow.

I hope I’ll catch my breath today.

This is work by William Edmonds, who is the August featured artist on Little Paper Planes.

oh no, ellie – things will look up! and just think of the satisfaction of clearing your to-do list – pure bliss* at the end of it all. I completely relate – if I have only one post in a week, it means i’m getting 2 hours of sleep a night. xo, Jane

even in the midst of busy-ness, you seem to manage with such grace! your blog posts are so simple & beautiful & thoughtful, that i never feel the impression of any behind-the-scenes stress.

i hope all is well & that you managed to take a breath!
