Neil & Winna, part 1

Neil and Winna’s Indian wedding was held in Washington, DC at The Field School, where Neil works. It was held in the high school gym, although you’d never guess that from how beautifully they transformed the space. Winna is a graphic designer, so she designed all the paper goods and coordinated the beautiful details herself. (Above, guests decorating Neil and Winna’s skin with mehndi, and below, Winna getting ready on the big day).

    I really like the idea of taking a photo of the “reserved” sign with empty seats in the background; it’s a beautifully composed image. I’m shooting a wedding this weekend… so thanks for the inspiration!

    What an adorable couple! I get so excited every time I see interracial weddings, it’s beautiful seeing two cultures come together.
