links for your weekend
+ I love seesaw’s letterpressed 2011 calendar (pictured above)
+ this bear wallpaper would be so cute in a kid’s nook/bathroom!
+ beautiful handkerchief save the date via seesaw
+ I love these Halloween-themed chocolate bar wrappers (download!) on Twig & Thistle
+ Etsian VisuaLingual has made it big with their seed bombs (picked up by Anthropologie!), and right now their Fall varieties—Dog & Cat Friendly and Herbs—are being made by a team of teen apprentices through their partnership with ArtWorks, a Cincinnati-based arts nonprofit that employs area teens for a variety of creative projects, including murals, theatrical set design, and now seed bombs.
+ LOCAL STUFF: It’s Third Friday in Durham! Go see my friends Rachel Freeman & Liz Vitale at 105 West Main St. // The weather is perfect for outdoor movies these days, and Durham Cinematheque presents Three Times Outside tonight // Flanders Gallery presents Dive tonight, a documentary that follows a group of people who sustain themselves on dumpster diving. Did you know our society wastes 1/2 of what we produce? // Mandolin Orange plays Saturday night at Local 506 // Vampire Weekend and Beach House play on Sunday night in Raleigh, and it’s not sold out!! // The NC State Fair opens tonight! People watching, fried foods, and rickety rides, what more could you want?! Get your freak on. (that’s the tagline Brendan tried to sell them on, but they didn’t bite. weird).

October 19, 2010 at 11:06 ami like brendan’s tagline. g came up with one too. something along the lines of “at the state fair, no matter how bad your life is, you’ll always find people that’ll make you feel better about yourself.” haha, piece of work. we’ve got to get them (and us!) together soon!
