this week’s recipe: earl grey bread & butter pudding

December 7th, 2010 · 4 Comments

Bread pudding seems to be one of those divisive dishes, but to me it’s always comforting and delicious. Now that I’ve found this Earl Grey Bread & Butter Pudding recipe on the beautiful blog Fisher and Paykel: Our Kitchen, I know it’s an easy dessert to make, too. And I’m intrigued by the idea of using tea in cooking!

You might remember Banquet from their beautiful Marine Animals poster, which made the blog rounds recently. They’ve just added some beautiful new prints and cards in the shop — the Water Birds poster, above, is my favorite and I also love the Boreal Forest poster, below.

Thanks Tammi!

hello tenfold in brides local

December 2nd, 2010 · 5 Comments

My “They Set a High Bar” postcards are featured in the Fall/Winter 2010 issue of Brides Local Magazines! Published by the same folks who work on Brides Magazine, Brides Local Magazines are in major US cities like New York, Boston, Philadelphia, and Chicago. My save the dates are featured along with 13 other designers’ works, including some of my favorites like Mae Mae Paperie and Lucky Luxe.

The “They Set a High Bar” postcard was an idea from one of my brides. She wanted to show photos of her and her fiance’s parents on their wedding days, and came up with the “They Set a High Bar / We’ll Set an Open One” text. I’ve since done these in a bunch of different color schemes, and it’s so fun to work with photos on an invitation, which isn’t something I get to do very often!

Thanks so much, Brides!
