Have a great weekend!
I bought my mom some socks from a boutique in downtown Wilmington, and they wrapped it in spray painted newspaper. Note to self: remember this at Christmastime. Doesn’t it look great?
I want to be a Freshthrills client just so I can get my hands on this beautiful beer label/packaging they designed for client holiday gifts.
“We found inspiration in Brooklyn and decided on branding the beer as Motorman. For all you history buffs, a Motorman is the title of a trolley engineer and during the early 1900’s, people commonly rode trolleys to get around downtown Brooklyn. In a lot of ways, the Motorman is a perfect symbol of resourcefulness because they not only operated and maintained the trolley but also acted as the conductor. It’s fair to say they had a tough, but respectable job. We likened the Motorman’s responsibilities to that of Freshthrills and how we approach our work.”
Marianne Dages of Huldra Press is an artist in Philadelphia who makes beautiful handmade books and letterpress prints. Most of these images were found on her blog (a new favorite, for sure!). For NC folks — Marianne has some work in the Rebus Works show via Penland 2010.
Things have been hoppin’ at Hello Tenfold… invitations for Spring weddings are in the works, and I’ve been working on lots of custom invitation drafts and sending projects to print. Above and below is a rehearsal dinner invitation I’m working on. The theme is Boots, Bolos, and BBQ, and we’re doing a fun western-style invitation. I can’t wait to show this one! Above and below is the lasso/rope illustration I did for the bride and groom’s names on the invite.
I’ve also been doing lots of “High Bar” save the date postcards. My favorite part of doing these postcards is seeing the bride and grooms’ parents’ photos, most of which are from the 70s.
