A friend recently brought my husband the most delicious Blue Cheese & Rosemary cookies from South Durham Confection Company, which pair beautifully with hoppy pale ales and rich imperial stouts, in case you were wondering.
I could have easily downed the whole bag in one sitting, but I refrained… because these things have to be savored. One at a time, slowly. While I wholeheartedly suggest you buy the real thing, I was able to find a recipe on The Food Network (and a beautiful photo from The Gift of Goodness, above).
Illustrator Mike Perry’s new book Pulled: A Catalog of Screen Printing should go on your must-have book list. Featuring the work of over 40 screen printers and an illustrated how-to guide by Dan Black, it’s an exhaustive reference for awe-inspiring registration (or not), happy accidents, texture, and color.
The newly-released book is available for sale on Mike Perry’s site, Amazon, and Princeton Architectural Press.
Artists featured above, from top to bottom: Jim Datz, Aesthetic Apparatus, and Andrew Holder.
Thanks to Princeton Architectural Press for providing a review copy for Mint.
In addition to regular Mint posts, I’ll be guest blogging every morning this week at Oh So Beautiful Paper, along with other blogger friends. Hope you’ll visit!
Congratulations to Leisha Lesko-Openo who won the Drawing Nature giveaway! If you didn’t win this time, you can pick up a copy of the book right here. Thanks to those who entered!
