vintage greens for the kitchen

June 14th, 2011 · 8 Comments

Yesterday I was making my way through an antiques mall in western North Carolina, and came across a booth filled with vintage kitchen wares arranged by color. As you can imagine, I wanted to bring every bit of it home. But alas.

Instead, here’s a round-up with green, vintage Etsy goods for the kitchen.

bound custom journals

June 10th, 2011 · 8 Comments

My friend Michael Faber has started a great company called Bound Custom Journals, which allows you to create and organize your journal exactly the way you want it… a few to-do lists here, blank sketching pages there, maybe some graph paper and some lined paper too. Be sure to watch the video, and if you feel like pre-ordering (or helping to launch the company), check them out on Kickstarter.

in the hello tenfold studio: lantern wedding invitations

June 9th, 2011 · 1 Comment

Teresa wanted simple and modern, and for her wedding invitations to depict the hanging lights and lanterns that she’d have at her wedding reception. I’ve done lots of pattern/type-driven invitations lately, so going more minimalist was a treat.

amy’s kitchen makeover

June 8th, 2011 · 22 Comments

When my friends Amy and Jason got married almost three years ago, Amy moved into Jason’s house and started shaking things up. In the best of ways! Amy and Jason’s latest project is their kitchen, which really wasn’t so bad to begin with but looks gorgeous now. Some of the things they’ve done are projects my husband and I will be tackling later this year, so it’s been fun to watch the transformation!

sponsor introduction: jadetime

June 8th, 2011 · No Comments

Jadetime is a family-owned company which carries paper lanterns, parasols, and other accessories for weddings or home decorating. My husband and I saved the over-sized white paper lanterns we used for our wedding, and they make the perfect backdrops for summer potlucks.

Thanks Jadetime! Sponsors help make Mint possible, and I am so grateful for their support. If you’re interested in advertising on Mint, please get in touch by emailing ellie at mintdesignblog dot com, and I’ll be happy to give you all the details.
