links for your weekend

October 28th, 2011 · 1 Comment

Some of our favorite finds this week!

+ Orla Kiely’s lookbook has the perfect combination of simple pieces and amazing patterns for the Fall and Winter via ink + wit

+ I wouldn’t mind looking at Spread the Love‘s Best Year Ever & Folk Gardens 2012 calendars all year ’round via poppytalk

+ Loving Chrissy Poitra’s work. There’s also a great piece on her and Kyle Topping’s venture, Spark Box Studio on Art Hound

+ dullDiamond has some seriously cool jewelry via Simple Lovely, pictured above

+ A very sweet round up of food goods. (For those of us who love to send our friend a doughnut card here and and ice cream card there.)

+ LOCAL STUFF: Ra Ra Riot at Cat’s Cradle tonight / Rembrandt in America Free Day at NC Museum of Art today /  A stop-motion thriller at NCMA tonight / Last Fridays Art Walk in Downtown Hillsborough / Solo exhibition of work by Michael Brown at Eno Gallery / Scare-o-lina Skies at Morehead Planetarium in Chapel Hill

Have a good weekend!

How do you do wholesale? Well. I wouldn’t know. But Katelyn (who helps me out with Hello Tenfold and Mint) and I have been digging for resources so we can find out.

Howdy Do It came from “how do you do It,” the question Ellie & Margot found themselves asking about their freelance lifestyles, and so Howdy Do It was born, a column about the things we do to keep ourselves organized, inspired and on track.

A fun, modern new invitation suite now in the shop! The Heart Invitations were designed to be rehearsal dinner invitations but can certainly be carried through to wedding invitations, bridal showers, and more.

This design is also available on Paperless Post as an emailable invite!

this week’s recipe: Smoked Salmon, Fennel, Grape, Blue Cheese and Pecan Salad

October 25th, 2011 · 1 Comment

At home, our salads are usually spinach with a sprinkling of grape tomatoes and sliced almonds if we’re lucky. They’re good, but pretty boring. So I’ve been on the hunt for a healthy but delicious salad that can take center stage, and this Smoked Salmon, Fennel, Grape, Blue Cheese and Pecan salad is right up my alley. Visit Tartelette for more beautiful photos and the salad recipe.

Loving the colors in this picture Brendan took at my grandparent’s house this weekend. So many sweet corners, so many sweet memories.
