folk fibers

You may already be familiar with Folk Fibers and Maura Grace Ambrose, the artist behind the beautiful quilts… she’s been featured lately on Design*Sponge, as well as the Free People blog, and recently collaborated with Levi’s. I found her via an instagram trail, and have started looking forward to her images and experiments and blog updates. Maura’s natural fiber quilts are completely made by hand, no machines, and recently she’s begun growing and harvesting her own indigo. If this is your first introduction to Folk Fibers, hurry and check it out, and save the links, too. So much good.

Thanks so much for the flattering words!

Just a point of clarification, I do use my beloved Bernina to piece together the patchwork, but the actual quilting and binding is done by hand.
