make it your own

In our last house, our bedroom was my favorite room. But in our new(ish) place, our bedroom somehow got neglected. It’s a tiny room with knee walls, so there’s no place for knick knacks, area rugs, or even much artwork. Unlike the room above, it’s a little bit dark and… well, did I mention tiny? We’ve got our work cut out for us. I’ve been looking for cozy rooms for inspiration and found Nancy and Ethan’s room, which I like for it’s white walls, warm wood, and calming blue fabrics. Bohemian without being cluttery. Here’s how I’d make it my own:

chevron blanket / fig branch wall art / woodcut print / pillows: vintage african indigo, denim quilted pillow, striped denim pillow, hand-dyed ikat pillow / reclaimed wood floating shelf / green pendant lamp / handmade ceramic vase / cotton stem / mexican blanket / saddle stitch throw / eames chair / fiddle leaf fig (image via)

P.S. Today’s 24 Merry Days giveaway is on This Little Street, for a fox jacket (so cute!!) from Little Goodall and a gift certificate from Joyfolie.

“Bohemian without being cluttery…” I love that phrase. The blues are so pretty in this room. This post makes me want to re-do the style of my place. =)

funny how our own rooms often do get neglected! you’ve got a great source of inspiration there–I personally like starting with white walls and a small selection of artwork. happy decorating! :)
