ultrasound says…

It’s a girl! Yep, we recently had our 20 week ultrasound and learned that this baby I’ve been carrying around is going to be a girl baby. Mostly, we’re excited that she’s healthy. But also? Girls are just so much more fun to shop for. This is going to take some restraint!

Oh my gosh yay! Girls are the best! My daughter is 2 and the clothes are adorable. So hard not to keep shopping for her. I’m pregnant with our second and we found out last week that we are having a boy! :)

Congrats! You know I’m partial to little girls. :)

Two quick bits of advice – wait on the dresses until she’s big enough for 3-6 month clothes so you’ll get a bit more mileage out of them. Carter’s and Old Navy Babies actually have really cute (and cheap) clothes for girls, and Baby Gap when it’s on sale. Gerber onesies are great for the newborn stage when they spit up all the time and need to be changed frequently, we bought a couple of 5-packs that got us through the first couple of months. Also Carter’s snap-front PJs – Sophie hated (still hates) anything going over the top of her head.

Also, BIG THUMBS UP for Miracle Blanket swaddles. Used in combo with either a Woombie or Summer Infant Swaddle Pod (zip up swaddle sacks), it was the only combo that Sophie couldn’t break out of. The Aden + Anaias swaddles make wonderful baby blankets, but were too big for us to use as functional swaddles.
