ikea trip!
Last week I found out that my photographs are going to be shown on the Durham Art Walk next weekend, in Heather Garrett’s shop! It’s been a long time since I had a “show” with actual artwork, so I’m really excited about it.
Since I needed my photographs framed on a tight budget, we took a day trip to the Charlotte Ikea. It’s humanly impossible to leave Ikea without a few odds and ends, and these are the things we picked up in between framing and the register.
A few yards of fabric, some fabric scraps (for ornament making?), Christmas twine, some weird little Santas nisse and a string of beads for our very first Christmas tree.

I love those ikea fabrics! I never see any of the cool ones at my local ikea, but maybe i’ll have to make a trip to see if they have these.

congratulations on your show! And i loove these photos as well! I nneeeeeddd those little guys! NEED. what are fun trip, we don’t have an IKEA anywhere the closest one is 5 hours away! so sad.

i see you got some of the new IKEA fabric. I did as well a couple of weeks ago and I can’t wait to make something fun with it. I LOVE IKEA!

I recently found your blog and i’m so excited about it! I had it bookmarked and have been slowly making my way back to so many that i have been looking forward to reading. I love it!
I too have a soft heart for IKEA and last time i was at the Jersey location i didn’t see those fabrics. I think i see a trip in my future!
