in the studio: a makeover

March 8th, 2012 · 6 Comments

When we first moved into our new Hello Tenfold studio last fall, we were put on a waiting list for a larger space with a window. Since I hoped that we wouldn’t be on the waiting list too long, I was hesitant to put much effort into the studio design/layout. But here we are, six months in, and I decided that a little makeover had to happen. I enlisted the help of Rachel Freeman, a friend who is starting up a DIY-spirited interior design business (site coming soon). Rachel and I talked about what the studio had going for it, what was lacking, and she came back with a shopping list and a space plan. Above are some of the things we’ve purchased for the studio re-do! I can’t wait to see it finished (hopefully by the end of the month)!

bookshelf // garland // DIY inspiration from Knack Studios // orbit arm chairs // tripod table // wallpaper // side table // upholstered chair // gold lamp

in the studio: “heart deco” shoot

February 16th, 2012 · No Comments

Photographer Heather Roth organized a quick photo shoot last week in time for Valentine’s Day, and my 1920s invitations played a part! Here are a few images from the shoot, and more can be seen on Heather’s blog and Landlocked Bride.

(Thanks Heather!)

in the studio: this week

February 2nd, 2012 · 3 Comments

I’ve spent a few hours this week carefully cutting down some new custom, screen printed save the dates (scraps above). Full photos will have to wait until the bride has a look, but I thought the leftovers on my cutting mat looked rather sweet.

I also added a few new save the date designs to the shop. They were designed a while back for Paperless Post (the middle design is available here), and the other two may or may not make appearances at PP in a few months. I’ll keep you in the loop!

The above picture is a sneak peek of another custom invitation for a couple having a destination wedding in Mexico. We explored lots of options and ended up with this design, based on embroidered flowers and printed on recycled papers. More photos to come when the light cooperates.

And lastly, we assembled some welcome booklets (above, previously, the hang tag programs) for a wedding we wish we were attending in Phuket, Thailand, and Katelyn assembled a big order of Wildflower invitations (below).
