I’ve spent a few hours this week carefully cutting down some new custom, screen printed save the dates (scraps above). Full photos will have to wait until the bride has a look, but I thought the leftovers on my cutting mat looked rather sweet.

I also added a few new save the date designs to the shop. They were designed a while back for Paperless Post (the middle design is available here), and the other two may or may not make appearances at PP in a few months. I’ll keep you in the loop!

The above picture is a sneak peek of another custom invitation for a couple having a destination wedding in Mexico. We explored lots of options and ended up with this design, based on embroidered flowers and printed on recycled papers. More photos to come when the light cooperates.

And lastly, we assembled some welcome booklets (above, previously, the hang tag programs) for a wedding we wish we were attending in Phuket, Thailand, and Katelyn assembled a big order of Wildflower invitations (below).

I’m so thrilled to have my invitation work featured (twice!) in Southern Living’s wedding issue, which is on stands now. On the left there is the Border invitation, with the Eleanor invitation over on the right!

It seems fitting to end the year with one of my favorite projects — my 2012 collection for letterpress invitation company Bella Figura. This is my third year working with them, and designing the collections in the summer/fall is always really fun (and hard to keep secret). The new collection launched yesterday, and here are my designs!

I was so excited and surprised to see my Collection wedding invitation (available through Bella Figura) featured in the latest issue of Southern Weddings Magazine! The invitation (below) was featured along with some other blue and white Bella Figura letterpress invitations, and you can see more of the feature on 100 Layer Cake.

New invites added to the shop this week (perfect for cocktail parties, dinner parties, rehearsal dinners, or these can be customized for wedding invitations)! The “You’re Invited” design above is also available as a digital invitation, ready to email, on Paperless Post.

A fun, modern new invitation suite now in the shop! The Heart Invitations were designed to be rehearsal dinner invitations but can certainly be carried through to wedding invitations, bridal showers, and more.

This design is also available on Paperless Post as an emailable invite!

Cara and Nate wanted romantic, modern wedding invitations with a twist on the traditional look for their wine country wedding. While we stuck with more traditional fonts, we added a literal twist to the layout and some vintage-inspired flourishes. A pattern on the envelope liner jazzed things up. Cara and Nate’s invitations were screen printed on thick, 100% cotton paper.

Remember this peek a while back? I finally have some photos to share! This suite was created for Stephanie, who owns two boutiques in Connecticut — Dockside Dogs and Webster Road — and dabbles in graphic design herself.

Although she wanted a formal/traditional touch to her invitations, Stephanie was most attracted to fun and artistic invitations with bold typography. JCrew and Kate Spade “looks” heavily inspired her wedding planning, and although her wedding won’t be right on the water, she wanted to add a nautical, preppy feel to her paper goods. She chose navy and pale turquoise for her color scheme, and we chose two complementing, organic patterns for the envelope liner, belly band, and invitation itself. The invitations were screen printed on 100% cotton paper, and the RSVP, brunch, and reception cards were screen printed on recycled navy and kraft papers.
