Marisa of Modulem has an Etsy shop full of handmade book sculptures.

She also has some vintage book photos, which I think I could fill a wall with:

Make It Your Own

April 26th, 2012 · 2 Comments

Sometimes you don’t have a full room that needs decorating, just a nook or corner that needs a little love. Whenever I’m faced with this task, I turn to Lonny magazine for inspiration. While I tend to go for mid-century modern in my house, this set-up (from the April/May 2010 issue; interior design by Ashley Wick & photo by Patrick Cline) caught my eye immediately as a fun way to spruce up a room without going overboard. A few bold statement pieces can really pull a space together, and can be way more affordable than going big for every piece in the room.

Today is our third wedding anniversary. Not sure where the days go… but I’m so glad I get to spend them with Brendan.

The Common Denominator: Carrots

April 25th, 2012 · 2 Comments

The common denominator—carrots. I’m drooling over these Carrot Chocolate Cranberry Cookies from Jeanine at Love and Lemons. Imagining that the addition of carrots makes them entirely calorie-free. I’m not sure if I should eat one before or after a bowl of Kathryne’s, from Cookie and Kate, Thai Green Curry. Brown basmati rice, lightly steamed vegetables, plus coconut milk and cilantro. I think it’s time to shave some carrots.
